Resource Room holdings are cataloged in a shared RefWorks folder.

Features:
- download, gather, and store references from databases and library catalogues automatically
- format citations and bibliographies in seconds
- connect to your RefWorks account anywhere there's web access

RefShare Shared Folders
RefShare is a module of RefWorks that allows users to share citations, folders, and databases with members of the UBC community, and globally with any researcher having Internet access.
- Using RefShare - RefWorks RefShare Navigating a Shared Folder tutorial.
- View folders shared on the UBC Library RefShare account
Searching the Database
The Database is a RefWorks RefShare folder, and is searchable by author, descriptor, and publication.
There are three ways to search:
- Quick Search. Use the “Search RefShare” field on the top right-hand corner of the page. This allows you to search the entire RefWorks database, i.e. all fields with the exception of Reference Type.
- Advanced Search. allows you to construct Boolean searches, limit searches to specific folders, search file attachments stored with your RefWorks references and save your search strategies.
- Lookup by Author, Descriptor or Periodical. These options display browsable and searchable indexes by Author, Descriptor, and Periodical. Simply select which index you would like to view, and access it via the drop down menu under the search button at the top left of your screen. You can then either browse the index or search within it by entering your query in the field at the top right titled “go to.”
