Dr. Catherine Finnegan is the Associate Director for Assessment and Public Information with the Advanced Learning Technologies (ALT) unit of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG). ALT coordinates System-wide efforts to standardize processes and to efficiently and effectively design instructional opportunities for use by multiple campuses, through the facilitation of collaborative development efforts, instructional technology planning and evaluation.

Dr. Finnegan has responsibility for collecting, evaluating and disseminating information for ALT’s projects, including the eCore. She coordinates course and training evaluation, outcomes and process assessment, designing and commissioning studies which investigate the effectiveness of integration of technology in instruction, and coordination and development of accountability reporting structures. She also disseminates information regarding initiatives, projects, training, opportunities, evolves points of contact with external and internal constituencies such as websites, support materials for public speaking, and various publications. For this project, she will serve as the  liaison from ALT to the researchers.

Prior to joining ALT in December 2000, Dr. Finnegan served for four years as the Director of Institutional Research and Planning at North Georgia College & State University. She has served as a Research Associate at the Institute of Higher Education and a Scholarship Counselor for Student Financial Aid at the University of Georgia. Dr. Finnegan earned her doctoral degree in higher education administration from the University of Georgia.
