Welcome to CTLT!

Founded on July 1, 2010, the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) facilitates development in teaching, learning and technology. The Centre works with members of the UBC community to enhance teaching skills and advance scholarly practice. CTLT also works collaboratively with academic and administrative units across UBC to support technology-enabled learning environments and distance learning opportunities.

An integral part of CTLT, the Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISoTL) explores scholarly approaches to curriculum and pedagogy.  CTLT works in collaboration with Faculties to implement the following initiatives related to the research and practice of effective teaching and learning strategies:

  • UBC Curriculum consultations (undergraduate and graduate degree-level programs)
  • UBC Curriculum scholarship (Campus-wide and Faculty-specific)
  • UBC Curriculum Scholars Development Program
  • CTLT Strategic Curriculum Services
  • UBC Faculty Certificate Program on Teaching and Learning: SoTL Leadership
  • UBC Peer-review of Teaching initiative (formative and summative)

Please take this opportunity to explore our website and learn more about the many services and resources offered by CTLT. Visitors to these pages will discover a wealth of information about teaching, learning and technology.
