These outcomes represent the TDP for New Faculty's vision of the knowledge and skills that participants should be well positioned to achieve by graduation:

  1. Grow their instructional skills to better address and meet the needs of their learners.
  2. Develop a sense of community and belonging within a group of supportive peers.
  3. Learn about teaching and learning resources and research.
  4. Engage in inquiry and reflection to consider teaching approaches, strategies, and practices.
  5. Learn about and consider the institutional contexts for diversity, inclusion, equity, and Indigenous engagement at UBC.
  6. Develop components of a teaching portfolio.

The TDP offers a combination of online and in-person events (at both campuses). This hybrid approach allows participants to choose the mode of learning that works best for them. This flexibility helps learners to balance their work and personal commitments while still being able to engage fully in the program.
