‘Hybrid’ teaching and learning encompasses a range of instructional models that support both on-campus and remote students simultaneously.
With growing interest from UBC faculties and departments in exploring options for transitioning to on-campus teaching when health guidelines allow, in December 2020 a working group from the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology prepared a discussion paper on hybrid models for teaching and learning. The paper includes a breakdown of five hybrid models with examples of their use, general considerations for implementing hybrid models, and a list of resources to provide further context and information.
