In November 2011, the 3M National Teaching Fellows held a four-day retreat in celebration of the 10 newly minted 3M National Teaching Fellows from across the country. The cohort was offered the opportunity, while gathered together, to devise a legacy project. Their legacy project will launch in the Globe and Mail on Saturday, February 4, and run for 10 consecutive days. It is a platform through which the 3M National Teaching Fellows pay forward the outstanding teaching they received. There is also a website by which any professor can thank the teachers that paved the way for them to become outstanding Canadian educators. Visit www.thankyourteacher.ca to acknowledge a teacher who has changed your life.
