Interested in learning about game theory?
UBC and Stanford University’s joint Game Theory course opened earlier this week. The non-credit course is delivered through the Coursera platform, and is offered as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). Game Theory focuses on the mathematical modeling of strategic interaction among rational (and irrational) agents. It is being taught by Dr. Kevin Leyton-Brown at UBC, and Dr. Matthew O. Jackson and Dr. Yoav Shoham at Stanford University. It will run for the next seven weeks and enrolment in the course is free and open to the world.
Looking for more opportunities to learn in 2013? Starting in May, UBC will be offering more online courses as part of UBC’s Coursera initiative that are open and free for anyone to take, including:
- Useful Genetics with Dr. Rosie Redfield
- Introduction to Systematic Program Design with Dr. Gregor Kiczales
- Climate Literacy: Navigating Climate Conversations with Dr. Sarah Burch and Dr. Sara Harris
