Sexual Assault Awareness Month at UBC

January is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) at UBC. Since 2010, SAAM has been held every year to raise awareness and understanding about sexual assault and what the UBC community can do to prevent it.

Campus and community partners will be holding events throughout the month. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend and join the conversation. CTLT will be hosting a Responding to Disclosures session on January 24, 2018. The workshop is open to faculty, TAs, staff and the UBC teaching and learning community who want to learn more about supporting students and responding to disclosures of sexual assault. Registration is now open.

CTLT also chatted with two UBC instructors about campus climate and sexual violence on campus. Hear their perspectives on how classroom climate is shaped, and how instructors can address campus climate in their classrooms.
