A Beginners Workshop for WordPress
OLT offered a recent Learning Technology Institute workshop, WordPress Basics, offering individuals of varying levels a concise overview of WordPress’ rich set of features. OLT currently hosts the UBC Blogs platform using WordPress Multi-User, and despite being in its early stages, WordPress is already being used effectively at UBC.
The Power of Podcasting
Podcasting is being embraced by educators to provide students with a new avenue of learning. A recent Learning Technology Institute workshop, Podcasting Basics, revealed to educators the ease of podcasting while highlighting the value educational podcasting holds in the classroom.
Experience.do.understand: EduCamp ’09
The inaugural LTI EduCamp was held at UBC’s Irving K. Barber Learning Centre on February 18th, 2009. The morning started off with keynote speaker Richard Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Computer Science at UBC and President of the BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association.
