Alec is saving time and receiving a diverse education by employing the flexibility of distance courses. He found himself in Croatia this past summer during the final exam period, and he “elected to take [the exam] at the Canadian embassy in Zagreb.” He was able to experience a new country, work full time and still complete his PHIL 435A course via distance education.

I have been an “on-line” student at UBC for almost two years now and I can honestly say that it has been an amazing experience on many levels. When I learned of an opportunity to participate in the Dental Hygiene Degree Completion program for a Bachelor of Science degree while still being able to maintain my work schedule, I jumped at the chance.

The CTLT is located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ - speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) peoples. These lands have long been a place of learning for Musqueam, with cultural and traditional knowledge passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years.
