Join us at STLHE 2015, June 16-19, 2015!
We are looking forward to welcoming our teaching and learning colleagues from across the country and beyond to the Westin Bayshore in downtown Vancouver for the 2015 Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) Conference. This year’s conference theme is “Achieving Harmony: Tuning into Practice.”
To kick off the conference, STLHE 2015 is pleased to welcome Dr. Marsha Lovett and Dr. L. Dee Fink as the keynote speakers. Dr. Lovett is the co-author of “How Learning Works: 7 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching,” which is used widely in higher education to inform teaching practice and professional development for faculty and teaching assistants. Her talk, “Applying Principles of Learning and Teaching – With or Without Technology,” will open day 1 of the conference on June 17. Dr. Fink is a well-known consultant on college teaching and faculty development whose work has informed course design approaches at many universities. His talk, “5 High Impact Teaching Practices,” is scheduled to open day 2 on June 18.
The program also boasts more than 260 workshops, roundtable discussions, research presentations, and posters sessions. The full conference program will be available in mid-May.
If you have not yet registered for the conference, it’s not too late! As of May 4, over 600 delegates had already registered. We have already increased the registration cap twice and are expecting the conference to sell out. Register soon so you won’t be disappointed!
