Christina Hendricks

Academic Director

Christina Hendricks provides academic leadership to CTLT to help guide the centre in supporting development, delivery and evaluation of outstanding teaching and learning across all Faculties and units and UBC. In addition, she holds a faculty position as Professor of Teaching in the Department of Philosophy, where she also teaches courses and contributes to teaching and learning initiatives in the department. She is also currently a Board member of the American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT) and facilitates AAPT workshops for graduate students and faculty in teaching and learning philosophy.

Jaclyn Stewart

Deputy Academic Director

Jaclyn (Jackie) Stewart works in collaboration with Christina Hendricks to provide academic leadership to the CTLT. She is also a Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Chemistry and the Director of the First-Year Seminar in Science. She specializes in teaching general chemistry, organic chemistry, and science communication. She is a member of the Canadian Society for Chemistry accreditation committee and an inaugural member of the UBC Equity and Inclusion Scholars Program.

Catherine Aldana

Project Manager

Catherine manages projects and activities surrounding strategic university-wide teaching and learning initiatives on behalf of the Directorate.  She coordinates and supports the work of various university Learning Technology governance committees, including the LT Leadership Team, LT Hub Leadership group, LT User Committee and LT Innovation Committee.  Catherine also assists with the planning and administration of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) application and review process.
