Christina Hendricks provides academic leadership to CTLT to help guide the centre in supporting teaching and learning development, practice, and evaluation across UBC Vancouver. In addition, she holds a faculty position as Professor of Teaching in the Department of Philosophy at UBC Vancouver. Christina’s scholarly interests and work include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Open Educational Resources and Practices, and ethical approaches to learning technology and data. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII), an organization dedicated to providing free and open access to Canadian law and legal commentary.

Elisa Baniassad works in collaboration with Christina Hendricks to provide academic leadership to the CTLT. Elisa holds a faculty position in the Department of Computer Science, where she teaches multiple courses in the Software Engineering stream, and examines pedagogy of Software Engineering. Elisa is also currently the chair of the Equity Committee for the UBC Faculty Association, as one aspect of her interest in examining issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion across all facets of academia and education.

Catherine manages projects and activities surrounding strategic university-wide teaching and learning initiatives on behalf of the Directorate.  She coordinates and supports the work of various university Learning Technology governance committees, including the LT Leadership Team, LT Hub Leadership group, LT User Committee and LT Innovation Committee.  Catherine also assists with the planning and administration of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) application and review process.
