Funding opportunities pertaining to anti-racist initiatives and areas of focus, including but not limited to, community development, EDI, implementation of the Indigenous Strategic Plan, and decolonial initiatives, are listed here. Advancing Community Engaged Learning Fund Centre for Community Engaged Learning Faculty The grants are intended for the development, innovation, evaluation, and improvement of approaches, resources and systems that enable community engaged learning to grow and sustain as a practice at UBC.
Anti-Racism Initiatives Fund Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence at UBC Staff, faculty, and students The UBC Anti-Racism Initiatives Fund supports initiatives that seek to celebrate and elevate diverse communities and advance anti-racism efforts at UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan campuses.
Community-University Engagement Support (CUES) Fund UBC Community Engagement Staff and faculty The CUES fund is designed to foster and support community-university engagements with diverse communities by offsetting costs for community partners who are collaborating with or seeking to collaborate with UBC partners on research, teaching or learning projects.
Equity Enhancement Fund (EEF)  Equity & Inclusion Office Staff, faculty, and students The Equity Enhancement Fund (EEF) supports community-based initiatives that enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion at UBC.
Experience UBCO Access Excellence Fund Student Services Staff and faculty The Experience UBCO Access Excellence Fund is established to develop and grow initiatives aimed at increasing access and participation in post-secondary education for underrepresented and equity-deserving students. By providing faculty and staff with funding to develop and grow initiatives that are targeted for specific youth, students and communities, the fund seeks to not only create access but also remove barriers that prevent underrepresented students from entering, fully participating and achieving success in post-secondary.
Inclusive Initiatives Fund Equity & Inclusion Office Students UBC’s Inclusive Initiatives Fund provides low-barrier access to funds for students working to build a more inclusive UBC.
Indigenous Strategic Initiatives (ISI) Fund   Office of Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Staff and faculty The ISI Fund supports implementation of the 2020 Indigenous Strategic Plan. Funds are available to support projects that advance UBC’s Indigenous Strategic Plan priority actions across both the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.
Partnership Recognition Fund  UBC Community Engagement Staff and faculty Funding for community partners, designed to help fill small resource gaps and acknowledge the contributions that community partners make to UBC.
Professional Development Funding  Centre for Community Engaged Learning Faculty The Centre for Community Engaged Learning works to connect communities with UBC faculty and students to work on issues that impact society. The Centre provides small grants to faculty in recognition of their demonstrated commitment to community engaged pedagogy.
Skylight Development Grants UBC SKYLIGHT: Science Centre for Teaching and Learning Staff, faculty, and students in the Faculty of Science The Science Centre for Learning and Teaching Development Fund supports learning and teaching projects across the Faculty of Science.
Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF)  Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) Staff and faculty The Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) was created to enrich student learning by supporting innovative and effective educational enhancements. Each year, the Office of the Provost invites all UBC-V Faculties and Colleges to apply for TLEF funding for initiatives that will improve student learning experiences at the university.
UBCO Intercultural Excellence Fund  Student Services Staff, faculty, and students The UBCO Intercultural Excellence Fund (UIEF) is established to develop or grow accessible and innovative programming that aid in cultivating intercultural fluency on campus by providing academic units and departments the opportunity to develop or grow initiatives that focus on intercultural learning and experiences that bridge cultures.

SSHRC Connection Grants Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Faculty working in Social Sciences and Humanities Connection grants support “events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives.” Activities can include, but are not limited to: workshops, colloquiums, conferences, forums, and summer institutes.
SSHRC Partnership Engagement Grants Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Faculty working in Social Sciences and Humanities Partnership Engagement grants support “partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. In addressing an organization-specific need, challenge and/or opportunity, these partnerships let non-academic organizations and postsecondary researchers access each other’s unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities on topics of mutual interest.”
