The Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) offers an ongoing development program for faculty members at different stages in their careers. The program is meant to support you in your teaching and learning endeavours and to provide information on current research on teaching and learning theories and methods.

The program’s initiatives reflect the suggestions of faculty members who have been key contributors. You will notice that the program includes a vast range of elements such as interactive workshops, problem-based studio sessions, one-on-one consultations, orientation to teaching and to UBC events, learning communities events, departmental specific events, writing groups and mentoring on teaching.

The program addresses issues that are specific to teaching and learning (including online teaching), to the supervision of Graduate Students, and to more personal life issues. It attempts to use a holistic approach, to be highly participatory, collaborative, modular, pragmatic and reflective of diverse approaches to learning and teaching. Our sessions are interactive, hands-on, and intend to help you reach both your and your departments’ goals.
